Edward Cullen Mini Album

This was a project created as a favor for a friend. Two weeks before Christmas I asked CS designer - Janice if she could create an Edward Cullen mini album for my friend - like herself -who is a big Twilight fan. I also am a fan of Twilight and thought it would be fun to bring Edward Cullen to life in a mini album. I wanted the mini album be part Vintage and Modern to represent Edward Cullen. My friend also likes the actor Robert Pattinson who portrays Edward Cullen and so we tried to think of ways to incorporate both men into the album. Edward is a vampire over 100 years old ( for those of you unfamiliar with the movie) that falls in love with a human girl named Bella Swan.

We went to Michael's to find paper products and embellishments that would give us a vintage/modern feel. We found K& Company frames, ancestry packs paper packs (this would be used for the Cullen family), Tim Holtz paper pack, his lock and keys and other products provided the vintage/modern look, Jolees embellishments, and charms from the jewelry and beading section, which provided for the overall look and feel of the album.

The inside cover is the Cullen crest that was cut with the Cricut and painstakingly pieced together. The crest is symbolic of the rebirth of Edward Anthony Masen to Edward Cullen. So we begin the album with the genesis of Edward Cullen. Edward Masen was a young 17 year old male dying of Spanish Influenza in 1918 when he was turned into an immortal - vampire - by his physician and later his adoptive father Carlisle Cullen. Janice searched relentlessly until she found birth and death certificates that were used during the early 1900's. She re-created both, aged them, and used creative license when filling out the birth and death certificates as neither the books nor film provided a genealogy on Edward Masen. The three pics on that page represent the life, death and rebirth of Edward Anthony Masen Cullen.

Next to Edward's vampire image are descriptive words that we thought represented Edward and how he saw himself. We found ourselves rereading Twilight, Midnight Sun (the author's incomplete draft of EPOV) and watching the movie itself. Edward's page has a journal card and embellishments that best represented Edward. We also wanted to include Edward's vampire family. The frames and pics used of the Cullens is striking as they appear to be mysterious, different, and dangerous. We also included descriptive words (tickets) and ornaments that symbolizes their respective personalities. Each Cullen's page contains journal tags that can be used to add pictures or impressions.

The album continues with Edward and Bella's first contact. Found pictures that showed their interest and longing for one another. Edward ultimately falls in love with Bella and they accept the conditions of their unconventional relationship once Edward's secret is revealed.

Bella's page background is purple with black borders. Though Bella is in love with a vampire we wanted the black border (same found on the cover) to also represent the possible danger she faced not just from other vampires but Edward himself. Images from Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse are used to show the evolution of Edward and Bella's love. The album finishes with Bella accepting Edward's proposal of marriage.

The following pages are a tribute to the stars of the movie Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Individual pics of Robert and Kristen were placed on their respective pages as well as pics of them together as a couple in collage style. The book was bound with rings and adorned with charms including a bottle of blood. Well not really blood but red ink.

A lot of work went into this album but we are pleased with the result and hope that you are too. As a result, being liked so much, Janice was asked to make a Harry Potter mini album. We can't wait to show it to you.

Well, that's all folks.  What do you think?  How can I improve on it?  I don't mind, keep it real.  Please comment, share, and like.

Thanks.  TTYL :~)
